Agreement signed between IUNworld institutions and Xinjiang Normal University (Urumqi, P.R. China)
Wednesday, 19 March 2014 at 11:00 (Beijing time), Prof. Dr. Dr. Christian Werner (President, IUNworld) met with Prof. Dr. Zhou Zuoyu (Vice-President of the Xinjiang Normal University (XJNU) in Urumqi, P. R. China) and signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU).
This was a meeting of friends as both institutions have been working together on collaborative projects already since 2012. The agreement outlines a comprehensive working relationship and opens a wide scope of collaboration between these two institutions (including exchange of students, exchange of teaching staff, development of collaborative research projects, and the organization of joint academic and scientific activities, etc.).
The Xinjiang Normal University is located in the northwest China’s Xinjiang Province. It is 36 years old. Currently, XJNU has over 28,000 students studying in 19 different departments or schools. The collaboration between our university and the XJNU started in 2012, when two UAM professors and three UAM students went to the XJNU to attend a 10-day summer school on Applied Creativity.
During this current visit Prof. Dr. Dr. Werner led a group of UAM students and three UAM professors to XJNU again for a new 10-day “summer school” on Sustainability & Applied Creativity.
We wish great success of this training program and look forward to more collaborative projects with the XJNU in the future.
